Fifth Casefile: Full Circle [Written/Action]

Hey, just a note to all witches, wizards, spellcasters, and magic users. I've already talked to a couple of you about this, but now I'm going to make it official- I'm starting up a magic group. The idea of the group is simple- anybody who wants to can come and talk about- and learn about- magic, and hopefully we can even get some sort of magically-oriented projects underway. So if you're a magic user and feel like sharing, or even if you're not and you're just curious, let me know what a good time is and how many people are interested. I'll try to set us up with a good meeting place.

After I sent out the message over the journals, I headed out to the library and pulled out a whole mess of magic books, then went to Good Spirits to go over them. Most of it was crap, but who knows what kinds of decent magical information and rituals from other worlds might turn up in here?

Would it be alright to attend if our magic was learned from the filial spirits?

[It'd be an interesting perspective to attend in her normal form instead of the form of Mercury, and she's never quite announced the two are one and the same.]

[ Helios is in his usual haunt. The Library, filing books and the like. He'll notice Harry and the pile of magic books he's taken out. Piquing his interests he'll walk over to the other man with a small smile. ]

Doing a bit of research for the magic club?

[The handwriting is cramped, but oddly neat--almost as if the instruments used to transmit the message were too small for the user.

Harry will see why in person.]

Just a curious observer here. Anytime is good.

[He has his reasons to be interested, after witnessing the effects of Helios' work and having an odd conversation about chakra with Kiba. He might not be able to learn how to do it...but it was information that was worth knowing.]

A magic club, you say?

[...Well, he's still iffy about going public, but the guy had said that curious observers were okay to go, right? So it's cool.]

This is a really neat idea. Magic must be pretty common here, then.

[Well, she's curious. It reminds her of her guild back home. The handwritten response is neat for a twelve year old.]

Hm? A magic group? That sounds like a great idea! But, I'm not entirely sure if I can teach anyone my magic though, sorry...

[Rei's script is neat and impeccable, with quite a few flourishes and markings that may indicate no small skill at calligraphy]

I would be curious to meet and compare or discuss magic, though I do not believe we've met. I think its a fantastic idea, as there is such a wide variety here.

[Rei has the same thoughts as Ami, more or less curious to see how others here would react to her spiritual powers instead of Mars' magic.]

[Luke's fairly sure he knows the answer, but Harry is always an interesting man to talk to]

Does the Force count as magic?

He'd seen the filter but he hadn't been able to crack it. It left him with a bitter curiousity in the back of his throat. Harry was a mate, weren't he? So why was he hiding things? Or...mayhaps Sharpe shouldn't mind at all. A man was allowed his secrets.

Still -- perhaps he ought to be more careful.

All the same, when Harry stepped into the bar? Sharpe raised a warm, one-handed greeting.

[She'd been wondering whether Harry would follow up on this. After only the slightest hesitation, she responds.]

I'd be available whenever.

I see you did go for the idea. I'd be interested in attending and have no preference in time.

I'm not a fan of groups, but name the place and time and maybe I'll stop by.

[He probably wouldn't ever dedicate himself to it, but... he was definitely curious about the kinds of people who could use magic here.]

What makes something magic? I've been wondering this for a while.

Well, with classes ending shortly, this sounds like a good activity to work with. I wouldn't mind stopping in.

[Sabriel's script is neat and bold, well practiced but not exceedingly delicate.]

I am available most afternoons and during the weekends. This will certainly be an interesting 'cultural exchange'.

[It would also be a good chance to see who the other magic users in the village were.]

[So, the Good Spirits seemed like a good place to get chilled vitamin water on a day like this. After retrieving a glass and spotting Harry out of the corner of her eye, Molly saunters over.]

How's the recruiting going, boss?

I would certainly be interested in attending. It will be interesting to see if there are any commonalities between different universes' forms of magic, and if there is any way to combine them.

I'd really like to attend, though I don't know anything magical except whatever I've learned from Nala here. Which isn't a lot yet. There's no magic in my world either. [Oh, right, availability.] Any time for a meeting is usually a good time. But maybe in the afternoon would be good.
