First Casefile: New Feather [Action/Written]
[Action]
Well, sure, I was just sitting on the roof. I mean, hey, it was a bit chilly, but I'm used to that. And I wasn't sure where I was, but hell, that's hardly any change.
The fact that I couldn't figure out how to get down was entirely irrelevant. I assure you. So there I sat, on the roof, scribbling in my journal.
The wings, it seems, didn't come off. Damn near fell off the roof figuring that out. They still throbbed.
The journal was an interesting thing, actually. It had my name on it. Apparently it updated to represent the journals other people used? I'd tried to look at it through the Sight. Luckily, the freezing cold was doing wonders staving off that headache.
I looked over the side again. Considered trying to climb. But, well, it was a rather tall building, and there weren't many handholds within reach. No. No, better to find some other method. So I'll just keep writing in that journal.

Hey. Don't know if there's some sort of etiquette to this... journal thing, or whatever it's called, but I have a question.
Where the hell am I, why do I have wings, and how did I get on top of this building without any clothing?
I don't think I was that drunk last night...

[Voice]
Oh, I slay me.
[Voice]
[Voice]
Oh, hell's bells. I'd expected a pained groan, not a totally missed reference. I must be losing my touch.
"So, do you have any idea how I wound up on a roof?"
[Voice]
... The ones who bring us here are called the Malnosso. They don't seem to pay attention to the details. I can come to try to help if you'd like.
[Voice]
[Voice]
What can you see from there? And in which direction?
[Voice]
[Voice]
I understand. Can you see anything else? Can you orient yourself to the north?
[Voice]
Wait a minute, what the hell is wrong with me?
I'm a wizard, fer christ's sake, I can find North.
... Or I could, if I had any kind of material focus or magical equipment.
"... And I lack my typical... compass."
[Voice]
In that case, I'll signal once I'm closer.
[Since she's only spoken via voice, she can get away with transforming once they close the journals. From there, she can use her power to signal him and get better specific directions.]
[Voice]
Look I was having a weird day, I wasn't exactly on my A-game, okay?
"Yeah, I'll be on the lookout."
[Voice to Action?]
That's when she transforms. It's Mercury who heads closer to where the trapped man had identified himself. Once she's sure she's in the right area, she stretches her hands towards the sky, and water and bubbles rise up in a thick enough stream to be visible for a moderate distance.
The journal again:] Can you see it, in the sky?
[Voice + Action]
"Yes, I see it. Hang on, let me try something."
I dropped the journal to the ground, focusing on feeling the latent energy around me. It was weak, dim, as if I was feeling it through clumsy gloves, but it was there.
Gathering my will and the energy in my hand, I thrust it at the sky.
"FUEGO!"
Fire erupted from my outstretched hand, and the heat scalded my skin slightly. I drew my hand back with a sharp curse, but it had worked; the jet of fire, smaller than I'd hoped but still quite visible, flew up into the sky.
[Voice + Action]
Spanish? You speak Spanish?
[Voice + Action]
Heh. Suitably enigmatic. You've still got it, Dresden.
"If you see a bunch of fire in the sky? That's me."
[Voice + Action]
I see it! I'll be there very soon now. [She hurries towards the signal.]
[Action]
For a moment, I thought it might be Molly, but then I aw the Japanese Schoolgirl getup, and then I saw the, well, Japanese Schoolgirl face. Not Molly
My potential rescuer, I hoped.
"Hello?"
[Action]
[Now how to get up there, when there was no roof access. Or...]
Is there any roof access at all? Is it locked? [That'd be easier: she could go inside and head upstairs to let him in. Otherwise, she'll have to make do with another way.]
[Action]
Hell, if it was a locked door I could have just blasted it open, with enough time.
"Which really kind of makes me wonder how the hell they put me up here to begin with."
[Action]
But it might be an error. Anyway, in that case, I'm coming up.
[It should not be possible to jump straight into the air, several storeys, but there it is.]
[Action]
"... Impressive."
[Action]
Are you alright?
[Action]
Other than that? Peachy."
[Action]
A ladder, maybe?]
Are you feeling well enough to climb? To get down from here, I mean.
