I noticed her avoiding my gaze. It was just as well- made it easier to not meet her eyes for too long. I try to avoid that, and the problem with that was that, me being so tall and most women being so short, it's hard to tell that I'm focusing on their nose instead of ogling them.

Conversations while not facing each other were a lot easier, but, well, that wasn't always practical.

"Hmm. I'm kind of a wizard, although apparently I suck at it when dealing with somebody else's vampires."

There was another brief pause, while I put another cross into place.

"I'm working on getting together a group, actually. People who work magic, know about magic, or just want to learn about magic, from various realities."
